Frequently Asked Questions
What is Rush?
The purpose of rush is to tell you more about the sorority and what it has to offer while having lots of fun at the same time!

Why Should I Come Out to Rush?
It gives you an opportunity to meet people before the school year begins. It also allows you to get to know the sisters of Theta Kappa Phi, find out what we're all about, and to see if Theta Kappa Phi is right for you.

Will Theta Rush Cost Any Money?
Rush is 100% free. Everything is provided by the sorority, including free food and rides to all events.

Who Can Join Thetas?
Thetas are composed of a diverse group of girls and there is no specific type of girl we look for. We welcome all girls interested in Thetas to come out to our rush!

Will Joining Thetas Be Expensive?
Dues vary from year to year depending on the number of pledges and actives we have. Being in Thetas is considerably cheaper than Panhellenic sororities because we do not have to maintain a house. Money should not be a reason to decide not to join Thetas.

What's The Difference Between Thetas And Chis?
Chi Alpha Delta is our sister sorority at UCLA. Though we have similar programs, the choice one makes to join either Thetas or Chis is a personal decision and comes down to who you feel more comfortable with. In fact, we encourage our rushees to attend both rushes to determine which one is right for them.

Are You Closer to Lambdas Or Omegas?
Both Lambda Phi Epsilon and Omega Sigma Tau are our brother fraternities at UCLA. There is no required preference for one over the other and we support them both throughout the year.

What's the Best Year in School to Pledge?
Each year the pledge class is made up of girls of all ages. The answer is a personal decision and is different for everyone. The best thing is to come to rush and talk to individual Thetas about how they felt pledging when they did.
